This site doesn’t use cookies, advertising or tracking scripts, and it doesn’t ask you to sign in.

What loads. Pages, fonts and styles come from this site. The Listening page and the home page ask a small service I run for what I’m playing on Last.fm, and show album art from Last.fm’s servers and artist photos from Deezer’s. The Reading page asks the same service for the books I’m reading on Hardcover, and shows covers from Hardcover’s servers. The Drummers tab on Listening, and the Drummers section on each year page, are built by that same service from MusicBrainz’s public credits; your browser never contacts MusicBrainz. A few older posts embed tweets, videos or slides, and those embeds come from X, YouTube or Speaker Deck and are subject to their policies.

What gets stored. If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.

Traffic. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which sees the requests that reach it and keeps standard server logs and aggregate traffic counts. I don’t track individual visitors.
